Here are some of the treatments we provide at our women’s health clinic for menopause:

-Antibiotics: If an infection is causing the bleeding, your healthcare provider may prescribe antibiotics. These medications can effectively eliminate the infection and stop the bleeding.

-Oestrogen Supplements: For bleeding due to vaginal atrophy, oestrogen supplements can be very effective. These come in various forms, such as creams, rings, or insertable tablets, and help restore the health of the vaginal tissues.

-Vaginal Lubricants: To combat vaginal dryness, using lubricants can provide relief. Topical hormones or other medications might also be recommended by your pharmacist, GP, or consultant.

-Endometrial Biopsy: If your uterine lining is thickened, an endometrial pipelle biopsy may be necessary. This procedure helps determine if there are any abnormal cells that need further treatment.

-Dilatation and Curettage (D&C): In some cases, your consultant gynaecologist might recommend a D&C procedure. Performed under sedation in theatre, this procedure involves removing part of the uterine lining to treat abnormal bleeding.
